Chasing The Light

There is no doubt about it that the language of photography is an expression of light and how it shapes the things around us. For me the greatest of light of all is that full on afternoon sun striking the side of a building with a dark brooding sky in the background. Its a look that drew me into photography in the first place. I came across this a few weeks back on my way home from an exhausting shoot for a client. Although I was desperate to get home there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity. Taking off on foot through the city with trusty tilt shift and nifty fifty (Canon 24mm tilt shift + 5ds) I captured these images within the space of about 30 minutes before the clouds closed in and my day was over.
